Tentech signs an exclusive supply contract for ‘10THERMA’ with Benev in the U.S.
Tentech (CEO Dong Ok Han) announced on the 4th that it recently signed an exclusive supply contract for its '10THERMA' in the United States with 'Benev', a local medical device company.
A Tentech official explained, “This contract is an exclusive supply contract worth about 10 billion won, and the size of the contract is expected to grow further as tip sales become active in the future.”
Benev, Tentech's new partner company, is a medical device manufacturer with more than 20 years of experience and cooperates with various hospital networks in the United States based on various product brands.
According to Tentech, Tentherma is a general-purpose electrosurgical device that transmits high-frequency energy of 6.78 MHz and generates heat through the electrical resistance of the skin. This product can produce a maximum output of up to 400W, and it uses a 'monopolar method' that coagulates skin tissue anew by delivering high frequency heat to a wide area of skin tissue using a single electrode.
10THERMA's tips come in a total of 4 types, including an eye tip (0.25㎠), two types of face tips (4㎠, 5㎠), and body tips (20㎠), so they can be customized according to the treatment area.
A company official said, "10THERMA's 5㎠ face tip has a larger treatment area than the existing 4㎠ face tip, allowing for faster treatment by requiring 25% more energy. In addition, 10THERMA uses impedance matching (Impedance Matching). “As it is equipped with (matching) technology, you can check in real time the amount of energy irradiated for each shot according to each individual’s resistance value.”
In addition, the S.T.C (Smart Temperature Cooling) mechanism system is applied, so a total of 7 cooling pulses are ejected while one shot is irradiated, reducing pain during the procedure and reducing the risk of burns caused by thermal energy.
CEO Han Dong Ok said, “Through this contract with Benev, we will do our best to help Tentech solidify its position in the U.S. as a global medical device company.”
Meanwhile, Tentech obtained '510(K) Clearance' certification from the U.S. FDA last December based on the safety and effectiveness of 10THERMA equipment. This year, the company has introduced its products to American medical staff by participating in various conferences and exhibitions, such as the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD 2024) and the American Society of Laser Medicine (ASLMS 2024).
